# Policies

Vincent Policies are programmable guardrails built using [Lit Actions](https://developer.litprotocol.com/sdk/serverless-signing/overview) that determine whether Vincent Apps can execute specific abilities on behalf of users, from spending limits to access control, all cryptographically enforced.
